Spring Break!

Hey guys!

So, this is my first official blog post, and what a better way to start it then with a post about one of the best weeks of the year. This week I spent a lot of time in Charleston, South Carolina exploring the different aspects the Holy City has to offer. Between the cafes and the concerts, I need a break after my break! Keep on reading to see my top spots to check out when visiting!

The first day in Charleston my friend Casey and I (@caseygibson -check out her YouTube channel) took a little day trip to go shopping and explore the sites the city has to offer.

If you're a fan of shopping, you can find some great deals on King Street. A lot of the stores can be a little over budget for a college student, but we found some gems.

The first boutique is Copper Closet. They have a lot of fun jewelry and if you go on their website, they market themselves as having affordable clothes.

The second store is one of my new favorites. Dress Up, their clothes are reasonably priced ranging from around $12 for accessories to around $40 for dresses. They had a lot of new trends that I haven't seen a lot of other places, like super flair jeans. I didn't buy any jeans while there but got a super cute dress, ON SALE for only $30! and bonus, it has pockets.

A good coffee shop to go to is The Daily. It’s super trendy inside and their coffee is great quality. Here’s a picture of my friend Bree and her dirty chai she ordered. I ordered a traditional macchiato, which is a shot of espresso with foam, and then added milk to that. They also had other options like fresh pressed juice and brunch which looked really yummy.

And last but not least, if you are ever in Charleston and get a chance to go to a concert I highly recommend it! Bree and I went and saw Dan+Shay with Morgan Evans opening for them and it was a great way to end our trip! The North Charleston Coliseum and Preforming Arts Center is about a 15 minute drive from the French Quarter so I recommend trying to find a hotel in North Charleston if you don't mind driving into town. Depending on whether its season or not, you could save a good bit on a hotel!

Come back soon to check out my next post!
